Wonder if the newly designed servo saver will work on the RC18 series and if its actually better

GrandeGixxer 10-10-2009 07:45 PM

Might be a good platform to turn into an R car as well if the belt system is good.

Now, for the love of God, can we please get a factory team kit of this thing? I have enough XP2 radios collecting dust (I'm still waiting on an 18R team kit too )

If your looking to convert you existing 18R you can use our Sccorpion body :

www.drivenproductions.net

to run those rim and tires you need 18T wheel shafts.

RJ,
Thats a great looking body for the SC truck....sure to be a great seller for you in the near future......TheToyz.com rocks.

Wow now that is pretty damn sweet!

Would love to convert my 18T to SC18 but the chassis looks totally different(with the belt drive and all)...

I thought that was strange as well.

Who wants to take a shot at the street price?

JatoTheRipper 10-11-2009 02:04 PM

Thanks for the ad scan guys!

I have to say this thing doesn't excite me one bit. It looks like parts are carried over from the RC18T. And the parts seem to be of low quality - the plastic bodies shocks for example. The body and wheels also horrible. The SC10 is the ugliest stadium truck in my opinion and the SC18 takes it to another level. The flat grilled front end is particularly ugly.

I also don't get the point of the belt drive system. This isn't an on-road car...

The only good thing about this new model and the other recent 1/16 and 1/18th release is that it proves to the haters that minis are not dead.

I think a good street price would be under $200. My lhs had 18rs for $99 a few weeks ago...$149-$179 seems reasonable and realistic.

You dont get torque steer with a belt drive layout like you do with shaft drive. Belt drive also tends to be smoother with mod motors.

trdsupra88 10-11-2009 04:04 PM

I think the belt drive will be cool...it is sealed too so no more rocks in gears (hopefully). something different...
