Default Losi Mini LST2 1/18th

I'm thinking about getting a mini LST2 but I haven't seen much talk/feedback about it on here. Can someone give me some good feedback about this mini? would it be a bad buy? can I get something for about the same money (under $200) get something far better than this? Lets put it this way if you are to buy a mini 4wd elec what would you buy?

the mini lst2 is a great little car and it is suited for many almost everything but it is too small for crazy bashing and most raceways dont have a mini lst2 class i recommend the new traxxas 1/16 e revo it is a little bit bigger than the mini lst2 and can handle a lot more terrain and comes with a brushlles motor/esc and a battery and charger http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec..._erevo7108.htm

I already have a couple of truggies and a buggy, Reason I wanted to get into mini is to get more trigger time when the weather is bad, since it is electric I can run it inside and maybe design a track inside my garage. So I'm between Losi LST2 and RC18t which one is better?
Losi comes as a complete package and with RC18t I'll have to buy a rx, esc and motor separate.

Default Losi Mini T/Mini-LST Ball Diff Question

I know how to install this on my Mini-LST. But I dont understand this:
Note: Before installing the driveshafts, place an "O-Ring" (included) inside of each outdrive cup.

O-rings in drivecups reduces dogbones/c.v.d's slop.

Not if you get the RC18T RTR. My co-worker got one. It came with everything like the Losi MLST2.

Depends on what you need. My co-worker's RC18T left me in the dust in the parking lot, but then his got stuck when I drove my MLST2 onto grass.

Default mini lst

I bought a mini lst for my son to run, this thing is awsome,it is truely unstopable,he runs it outside and it goes any way he points it,you can buy any upgrade you want for it,and most hobby shops keep parts in stock.
The only thing that I have seen a problem with is the stock steering servos, upgrade to a set of hitec or jr and you should be fine,I did the Exotek single servo conversion,it looks and works great.

I did mine with the Exotek too. Come to think about it now, I should have just go with a pair of jr instead. The Exotek makes it steers better because I got more torque out of a standard size servo, however it makes the MLST2 heavier at the front, so now it does less wheelies then before (which wheelies are always fun for bashing).

Yeah wheelies are fun,but this is my 4 year old son's truck,so the more tires on the ground the better,I put in a Mamba 5400 brushless, vicous diffs,cv axles, aluminum tranny and diff cases, titanium shocks,Exotec servo kit, sway bars, and the list goes on from there.I also have a Mamba 8000 waiting to go on it,but thats for me not him.

Yeah, all those expensive parts putting in for your 4 years old son... wink wink I am sure if I ran into your wife and she asks, I'll stick with the "all for your son" story.

5400 kv might be better. I tried the 8000kv but it got too hot, like ~200F...so I took it out. So watch out for the temp if you wanna try 8000kv. Don't wanna demagnetize the motor then set the ESC on fire. Trust me, it wasn't fun. :|
