Default Losi micro T - official thread

I've read the first pages of this forum and could'nt find such a thread, so I propose you to concentrate all our micro T picts, vids, hop ups, tips and whatever in this one.

Apologize in advance if there was an older thread about it, I only found various ones causing about various issues.

Let me start to introduce mine then.

It's a micro T with ball bearings, oil shocks and LiPo 7.4 as hop-up.

Last vid with the new LiPo (2 weeks old) :

Few picts of the jump :

Lot of previous vids and picts before the LiPo :

Default Losi Micro-T 3rd Party Charger

Hey guys!

I had a quick question... I sort of inherited 3 Micro-T stadium trucks from my cousin, with 9 batteries. I only have three chargers, which sucks. I wanted to use a 1 hour quick charger, or something like that but my Duratrax Oynx 220 doesn't have the setting in the manual for a battery this small. I don't want to ruin it. What do you guys use to charge these little guys? I even have the plug ins for my Oynx, just don't know what to set it at...

Thanks in advance!

For the micro-t batteries charge them at .4 amps. that will charge them in about 20 min. I do it with my ice charger all the time.

we are talking about NiMh batteries right and not li-po??

The basic rule is 1 amp for every 1000mah, so at .2 you're right on for that
little 180 mah lipo.

This is my contribution - still a project.... Micro Jimny

And my DIY micro T batteries - 180Mah Lithium Ion batteries

these are 29mm x 10mm diameter

near the size of the stock battery

with some soldering of a spare motor wires (2S setup), thin cardboard to prevent grounding the contacts and a few rolls of cling wrap (still have to find me a decent shrink wrap)

it fits the battery holder like stock

and powers my micro T to about 10-15 minutes of run time... it is also quite fast enough that I can make it do wheelies like the micro raminator.

cost of these lithium ion batteries - about $15... a similar capacity original losi lipo battery is about $38.99 from Atomic.mods

^^ nice find... if I buy more than two sets, it will turn out cheaper than my DIY batteries including shipping cost.

Any idea how long will it last when you run your micro with them?
