M18 pro kit. will decimate all when set up properly. Proof? go look @ the nats results page. Tied for fastest lap (10.3) with the recoil, and a lap faster than anything else in the mains. The pro kit, along with the atomic lowering springs, and you can be fast anywhere with the car. (VERY) durable car + no oil shocks + fast for cheap = case closed.

M18 pro/ exotek! great handling, fast, and almost Indestructible.

Depends on if you want a pan car or a touring car.

If you are looking for a simple yet very fast pan car - check out the BRP SC-18V2M - 1/18th scale national champion car 2 years in a row.

I love the BRP, simple, use any electronics, durable, and fast. Can handle a brushless and lipo.

BRP Thread

I've not run the BRP, but everyone that I know with one loves them.

I have run M18's since the beginning, and they are nearly indestructible. the Pro takes all the great aftermarket ideas and puts them in one package, so I recommend it highly.

The LRP and Vendetta both appear well built, but they are way to heavy to compete with the M18. The 18R is even worse. They should only race other 18R's

As for the Recoil... there's a good reason for them being discontinued.

I've been told the Scalpel breaks a lot of T-Bars, and parts are hard to get.

Since neither of those come as a "Team Kit" or "Pro" version I would respectfully suggest that either model can be made competitive by adding comperable components.
Nothing a cf chassis kit can't fix

the best carpet 1/18tc hands down is the x-ray m18 pro....
Exotek makes awesome chassis for the m18 as well.
The Exotek is a great upgrade for the stock m18.
I have the vendetta tc and it is good....but it is not on the same level as the m18....Mine will become my driveway/parking lot racer....while my m18 will be for the carpet. This spring Duratrax will be releasing a CF chassis for the Vendetta TC and it will take the car to the next level...but it will be costly compared to a m18 pro kit....about $150 more than the m18 pro....with comparable components...ball diffs, cf chassis etc...

And the Vendetta will still outweigh the M18, with a higher CG as well. I'd still go X-Ray, even if money was no object.
