Default 18th off-road to start in Waldorf MD. soon

Waldorfrc.com will be starting 1/18 scale indoor offroad racing in a week or two. AMB system, personal transponders needed. Will post pics of the track later this week. Anyone interested?

I think it would be very unusual to find a Dirt off-road track committed to 1:18. this just doesnt make any sense business wise.

Only dirt tracks your gonna find will be sized to accommodate larger scales along with the 1:18 on the side usually.

Open up this track man! IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME!!!

By all means supporting 1/18 scale is great and I'm all for it. I just can't wait to see a bad ass mini dirt motocross style track that is well maintained and smooth. Look at RC Madness, with there 1/18 scale population and sanctioned events they should definitely have a dirt track!!. I definitely think 1/18 scale will grow in popularity if they had the right facilities. Now that would be a dream come true.

Steve - i raced at your 1/8th nitro track. I'd definitely be up for some 18th indoor! Let's do it!

ur beating a dead horse... i have been though many discussions in the past over this issue.. and i have just acccepted that it is easier to have a small carpet track,, than have a small dirt track..

Would love to see a good indoor track closer. Driving back and forth to practice at kranzel's gets a little long. So I too agree Steve if you build it they will come.

Points to consider~ carpet is lower maintenance, no ruts, the cars stay cleaner, and it is faster. A good carpet offroad setup is just as challenging as any dirt track, and layout changes are a snap. Did I say it was faster?

The dirt and maintenance is part of the fun. Cars stay cleaner it's off-road!!! Post some pics when you can. I wish there was any sort of track around my parts that cater to 1/18scale. Hell I might just rent out a hall and build my own track once a month.
