Default KMI Sirio 09 recut to standard glow plug

Has anybody cut threads for a standard glow plug in the Sirio 09 head?

In europe /Denmark) the special plugs are as common as chicken teeth, so i thought af recutting the thread to 1/4"-32 in order to use standard glow plugs.

Thats would be nice, but I would want a turbo taper, not a standard thread type. Since the combustion chamber is tiny, a turbo plug taper would keep the larger glowplug threading from altering the engine combustion chamber. I guess buying a spare head and machining it out could be a project to try.

Have done it now and it runs perfect with an OS#8.
No issues of any kind.

The difference in diameter is 0,9mm ~ 0.035" from 5,45mm (7/32") to 6,35mm (1/4")

The original thread is 12-32 and i recut it to 1/4"-32

I dont think that it would leave enough material for a turbo seat!

Would be great if Sirio made the Blue racing head accept turbo plugs instead of the same glowplugs.

I wonder what the Charge .09 engine from Japan uses?
