Default Which Brushless System

I recently sold my old mamba 25 with CM-2080 Motor, because the thing was undrivable. Now i am looking for someting less powerful, so i can drive it on carpet with no problems. I was looking at mamba micro pro with CM-2054 Motor.
Is this a good combination or do you guys recommend any other motor, manufacturer...

My personal way is to stay with a manufacturer until I'm given reason to ditch 'em. Like major repetitive malfunctions. Castle Creations hasn't done that for me yet.
I have a 4100 and a 6800. I like them both a lot, but the 4100 isn't quite fast enough for racing. So your idea might be a good one.

depending on the vehicle you can use a 5400 or a 6800.
In a 1/18 scale TC i would use the 6800. If I felt it was too fast I could drop the cell count in the pack...6 cells to 5 cells or you can dial out some top end w your TX....
In a truck If it was a lighter one (mini t rc18t m18t etc) I would use a 6800 also. In a heavier truck I would use the 5400.

I would run the tekin mini rage with 6900. Have used the mamba 25 but I liked the tekin better.

I run Mamba 25 escs in my MQ-SE, Vendetta and Vendetta ST. I have a Mamba 5400 in my M18MT. I run a Tekin 6.8 in my M18 and find I don't like it as much. I like the castle link convienence. Nothing against the tekin - it runs great and more importantly, it fits, but I like my CC based systems better.

Just some info about the trinity... the armature doesn't have a flat spot ground on it like most other armatures

I use it in my 18R for asphalt, and I feel it doesn't have enough power, but then again, I am still using the stock gearing so next time I will gear up instead of putting the 8k back in.

Looking for a good motor inbetween the two.

Not to hijack the thread, sorry

To the OP, stick with what works. You said the 8k was too much, instead of ditching the entire system, just get a new motor. Unless it has to be sensored, it will work with the CC25

I use Vendetta ST and i am also looking to buy LRP S18 TC. Basically I am now deciding between Mamba micro pro w/5400kv motor or Novak Mongoose w/13.5T(6000kv). Which one would your recommend?

The Anderson vehicles are much heavier than the Xrays and AEs so you're going to want to use the Mongoose package or use a CC ESC with a different motor. The Ammo 28x35mm 3900 and 5100kvs are popular choices, but you'll have to get Metric 1/10 scale pinions. GH used to make 3600 and 4700 380 motors that had a perfect fit for the Vendettas as well as a 2.3mm shaft so you could use stock pinions, but they are no longer in production so you might have to search if you want one of those. There are also many other motor options out there....Neu, Feigao, Aligns.....etc.

Skuter, you're going to want to go with one of the larger motors as I've mentioned above.
