Motor Mount Customisation for Wraith 7k on Mini Inferno
Hello,
Just bought a Wraith 7k online & was wondering if any customisation needs to be done to mount the Wraith 7k on my Mini Inferno.
Alternatively, is there any motor mount that is adjustable as I understand that the motor shaft length on the original kyosho motor is different from that of the Wraith.
Thanks a lot

Hi jla8874,
thanks for replying but isnt the shaft length different on the 2 motors? shouldnt there be any customization required?
Sorry for asking again as i've seen users post that their Wraith couldnt fit in an Inferno but then again, my friend told me it's a popular upgrade for the inferno so it's pretty confusing

I have seen a number of Wraith's in Mini Inferno's and never heard of any problems. So your saying the shaft is longer or what? Please explain whats different about it? You can always put the pinion on backwards if you have to.

Getting it on will be the least of your problems.....
The real problems begin after its mounted! I hope you have 09 steel diffs in place. Even then, check them every couple of sessions because the small phillips heads screws (4) back out and shear off. Stock up on extra dog-bones and steel outdrives as well. You will need new pinions as the stock motor uses a 2.3mm shaft and the Wraith uses a 2mm shaft.
