Venom GPV-1 1/8th Motorcycle

Yeah I know. Actually, I haven't even pre-ordered one. I figured I'd wait till after all the pre-orders (@ 2Wheelhobbies) are filled and if there are any left, then I'd get one. I'd just feel bad for anyone that waited for months and still didn't get one, then have to watch their buddies rave about the bike.

SWEET!

Argh! Now tower has the date moved back to mid November. Slow shipping? Or was there some repackaging they needed to do before sending them out since they said they were in port past customs.

Ok so from reading on another forum, Horizon got there first shipment last week, but sent those out to previous backorders (which is why they show being out). Luckily, the shop I ordered mine from was on that list, so my Orange one is coming (hopefully with the brake kit to follow or in same shipment). So for those of us who ordered through LHS, they should begin to show up right before Turkey day.

Well mine was supposed to show up today. Of course, the store isn't open.

YES!
Woo hoo! Got it.
You know what? I am impressed thus far. I havent' gotten to drive it yet (charging stock pack). But the build seems good, it has plenty of racer edged adjustments from rake angle to including different pistons. The radio is surprisingly comfortable to hold.
The directions? Not just some exploded view, but instead a full on build up manual.. That reminds me of a Tamiya or Kyosho style with simple line drawings and showing real size parts to the side of each page where they are installed. Even has a SET UP sheet on the back page.
Oh man..

got my gpv-1 a couple weeks ago, have been running bikes (1/5 & 1/8) for a handful of yrs now, and have to say besides my nf506, this is the best bike out of the box ive yet to come by. im very much hoping for a new class to hit the tracks. i highly recommend this bike for first timers.
