You have to cut the ears off the servo and shoe goo or servo tape it to the chassis. And you will need a x ray servo saver which is the best micro servo saver around.

Hi,

I'm actually looking into the Futaba S3153MG servo for mine and was wondering if any of you know whether or not it will be a direct fit?

with my experience with the servo, the little black ring that associated thinks is a good spring for the servo saver is the problem. i got the metal rings online and the thicker one worked the best. and i ended up loosing it. is there another opiton other than the ring. different servo and servo saver?

Cut a ring out of the stock blue spring, dremel a very small groove around the plasticv servo saver, and then pop in the peice of ring cut from the shock spring. This is the cheapest and most effective way to fix this problem.

Forget the cutting, dremeling and o-ring tricks. They are not bad, just ok and there is still play. Go and get the x-ray servo saver. Hands down the best one for mini cars .

You won't regret it.

The same thing we have been doing in LA. Thanks to Eddie Beltran my servo returns to center all the time. I shave the servo horn so it will not bind on the servo casing.

5-minute fix that's priceless.

but not the most durable. Cutting into the plastic weakens it and if you crash alot or hang up on something it will eventually break or become loose again. .02

not saying the xray saver is not a decent replacement choice.
I have a couple of stockers I modded over two years ago and are still wroking fine.
perhaps you should try it before knocking it.

I'm more annoyed. I like to hear peoples positive thoughts on things whether it's basic or complicated. Thats what forums are for.

you're annoyed? what about me?
why can't you just make your suggestion and move along instead of having to disagree and disagree AGAIN?
