Default Project: SwitchBlade Xmod

Since my XMOD has just been collecting dust whilest I've had the M18B, I have decided to take it all apart, clean it and make some big changes.

First of all, the old servo was broken (I think the gears were stripped) and I recently broke the antennai wire. I have a Specrum Micro reciever already, and its a great size and is light enough for the car. I plan to use it along with a Hitec Micro Servo (the really really small one). I already have an Atomic T2 motor and V2 board, but since I want to use a different reciever and servo, I might have to buy a 1/36 Brushless system from Losi.

Here are some photos:

Hope you like it, expect some progress soon.

I like it! I would like to see what you come up with. I have 2 heavily modded cars and have always wondered if you could put other electronics in them. Keep us posted.......

Major bump, but I have bought a Hitec mini servo which fits well but am still gathering funds for a new ESC and motor because I have two other cars to work on.

MAJOR BUMPAGE!

Nearly finished, I am now making a custom mount for the servo and have made a new tie rod. It goes where the front top brace was, and I had to turn the knuckles up side down for it to work. I think I'll remake it though, as this is an old part from an evo, don't know where from but I found it and thought it might work. It gets slightly stuck though ...

Pics soon, I'm going to use a Novak Micro ESC because I can and its small.
