Default mini-t help

i have a mini-t with the stock speed control and a brand new motor and it will not work. The only way that i can get the car to move the tires is to touch the motor screw with another piece of metal. And then i dont even know if i have throttle control then because it wont stay going long enough for me to find out. If it helps the steering will only twitch if i touch the motor screw also.

D.

I had that same problem with my mini baja. I called horizon and explained the problem to them. First they told me that a brush could be hanging up. I told them that I already replaced the brushes and springs, there was not resistance with the brushes, they would rest on the comm where they were suppose to (as far as I could see) and still nothing. So them they said that there was probably an internal short in the motor and would send me a new one ASAP.

The old motor seen 2 packs ran through it before this problem started. The new one has seen around 15+ packs and shows no sign of trouble
