Default Anyone Race Micro-T's on Clay?

I am thinking about building a small clay offroad track in my back yard for my Micro-T. Losi says not to operate the Micro-T on dirt. I know rules are meant to be broken, but why does Losi say that? The truck cant be that fragile.

Does anyone have any negative experience from running one on clay? Also, is anyone in the Orlando or Daytona area interested in racing when I am done???

Its a small vehicle and a small pebble will be like a boulder......
if a pebble or even grains of fine dirt or clay get into the workings it will wreak havoc on the micro t.....
this means you must clean (blow out and or brush) the T after every run.....
Im sure by doing that it will last.....

The track I am planning will be kept as free of dirt clods as possible. I figured that could be an issue. I will use a blower before I run on it.

Keep it soft and moist as well (not muddy, but moist). That will help keep dust from coming up.

I've had my micro-t's outside on dirt and had no issues at all. As long as it's moist and not dusty it doesn't get too dirty. After a couple of runs I blast off the dirt with some nitro car blast. Like bermbuster said you have to make sure there are no small pebbles though, these have a way off lodging themselves in the steering hubs and linkage areas. Like any outdoor rc's keep them and the track clean and you'll be fine.

What kind of dirt are you running on? I would be getting red clay. I dont see any problems as long as I keep it moist and keep the dirt clods away.
