In early March Hobbytown in Westminster, Colorado is having their 4th Annual Carpet Classic.

I spoke with the manager, he said they would run a 1/18th class if their were at least 5 entries.

I was thinking this might be an opportunity for people interested in 1/18th to meet, race and maybe plan some regular weekly 1/18th racing.

I think we can pretty much define our own class rules the only thing which organizers are excluding(as far as I know) is lipos.


If you are interested post on this thread. I will post a link to the flyer , 4 qualifying rounds and then mains, pretty big track.

Excluding LiPo eliminates about 60-70% of micro racing.
Too bad. A larger 1/10 size track is a blast with a m18/LiPo/bl.

Lipo would be nice but hopefully, you could just use a NIMH for the weekend.
I think I am going to fill out entry form for 1/18th and switch to 1/10 if we can't get enough.

We just need 5 for a class. I wouldn't even care if we ran m18 Xray on roads against Losi Mini-Ts with mambas it would just be fun to have a 1/18th class at a two day event like the classic.

Good luck with your race! Exposing micro racing to the 10th scale crowd is a great way to get some attention. Full blown brushless micros are the fastest cars I've ever seen. We had a great race here in Indy last month.
