Should I buy the Pro kit or just upgrade the wheel system?

Yes, but you will have to buy the original universals, hubs, and then tires separately.

(2) Composite Drive Shaft - Set (2) # 385200
(1) Inner Wheel Adaptors, F+R (4) # 389995

(Tires up to you)

Slight update. I have been informed the new universals will work with the older hub system. So you wont need #385200. Unsure of the other way around (older universals taking hex adapters).

I imagine you would just have to file a flat spot onto your old universals- change (] into [].

hi boys,
I've raced two races with M18PRO this weekend, I can compare the older version, MOTEK version and current M18PRO. The result?

M18 Pro is stable, easy to drive and the flex technology gives you very useful tool for a setup changes.

What is bad?
a rear body holder :-(

and you got that idea from??

i might just dish out the $$ for the pro after all, love my motek and all but the mount mount is kinda flimsy, its always bending which leads to the mesh being all funny

Another solution I was thinking of. Since the M18Pro has the rear body post holes in the top plate why couldn't we drill new holes in the top plate that are 4 or 5 mm closer to the front of the car? This would move the posts so they are situated in the rear window instead of underneath the wing.

On my old M18's I drilled holes in the body mount posts so the body pins went in front to back instead of from the side. Putting a slight bend on the body clip at the end also makes it easier to get in and out of the holes.

The Canadian Xray Dealer informed me he should have kits late next week. I would expect he gets his stock from RC America as well but not positive. Regardless they should be shipped to the retailers by late next week or the week after Christmas.

I'm very excited for to be running the M18 again. Some of the best racing I was involved in was running onroad 1/18th.
