Default Micro brushed ESCs...

Wat ESCs are you guys using for those running brushed motors?

i'm looking for a micro esc with reverse.
thinking of getting the LRP Quantum Micro Reverse AI for my Minizilla, and pair it wif a Trinity Micro Monster motor.
any comments?
how's the LRP micro AI compared to the novak Spy?

Did think of getting brushless but figured that the MZ will be on its end more often than not.

there both good, just check the specs to make sure it will handle the amount of batteries in your packs and the sizes of your motors. you have to get an lrp or more expensive esc,if you plan on anything over 7 cells,,,,,like the saddle packs for the mini inferno/st

All the LRP Quantums are good for micro. You might think about using one for 10th scale, so you can swap it out if necessary. They'll be able to handle anything you put in.

I've also had good results with AE's XPS micro ESC. You can find them used on ebay pretty cheap.

I use the LRP Quantum Micro 2 and it is GREAT. Works well with the Reedy 17 Turn and Trinity 14Turn.

I'm not very familiar with brushless but I taught that in order to run a brushless motor you need a brushless ESC???

And you are saying that you use a SPY with your Mamba 8000.

Maybe I'm wrong but if someone could confirm this it will be great.

ummm...like maxime and Proud Savage said, how is that possible?? YOu need a BL controller to run a BL motor..but oh well...I've personally seen SEVERAL spy's go into thermal shutdown with the hotter motors - and this was BEFORE the IB1200 and IB1400 AND the big LiPo packs...

Me? I'm running a Tekin G10 Pro in both my micros...once Tekin releases their new micro brushed ESC, I'll be running them

I bet it will be A WHILE before Tekin releases their new micro speedo. They seem to take FORWVER and always push thinks back.

I am suprised they just did not release a new version of their software for the Mini Rage so it could be brushless & brushed. Like how the Mamba Max is and some of the Novak stuff is.

Either way, the quality of Tekin is ok but the wait toooooo long on thier stuff.
