the clicking might mean that something is broken in there.

Do you have a link for the spur gear cover? I'm getting an 18T soon and that sounds like a good investment.

Any other quick ideas on bulletproofing one of these? How are the shocks, they leak alot or pretty good?

I am off to start reading the thread. Not sure which year to start, 06, 07, or 08. lol Should be alot of good stuff.

The 18t is a very good investment, and are pretty much bulletproof unless you throw in a brushless in which you will want to upgrade the drivetrain.

Cool. I don't plan on doing much to it. Probably won't do much more than throw a lipo in it. I've read about the gear cover before and it seemed like a good idea. Thanks for the link BTW.
Was a little disappointed to see they have problems running with a spek rx. But we'll see what happens.

Those are the stock tires that come on the r, they are alright. I only ran 1 pack through with them on and then went to foams.

Those are actually 3Racing treads and rims.
Some guys jumped all over them because they were the first aftermarket offering, and some even claimed the had a little more grip than the stockers.
But foams are definately the way to go if you're racing.

Ah, I see that now. Either way it is a good set of extras tires for the money whether your gonna race with them or not.

Hi,

I recently purchased a Novak Mongoose 10.5 for my 18R and I will be running it with a 2 cell pack and was wondering which Novak Novak pinion set I should purchase? I will be running on 1 1/10 scale asphalt track. Any help is appreciated.

It's hard to say for sure because none of us have run your track or are familiar with it. Just get both; better to be safe than sorry.
