Why would you go with S3107 over a HS-81MG? Does it fit better? Or is better in same other way?

Thanks,

if you can go with the JR NES 375, theyre heaps good too andfit under the stock mounting bracket

if anybody is interested ni a brand new never EVER used 4s lipo gimme a pm, fits in the rc18t perfectly and is perfect for speed runs, also have a protoform speed 12b body cut for the rc18t if anyone is doing speed runs. it is unpainted and un used on the road, has just been cut and mounted on the car. never got a chance to use it cause my ESC crapped itself

the lipo is a YEah racing 2200mah cont discharge 16c and burst 25c and comes with deans!

Why I can not find any information for the NES 375 on JR's website?

Quck question guys. Im building the 18B right now and I dont feel very good about the drivetrain. Seems pretty tight to me. Does it just need to be a little bit to de-bur the gears or are there some tricks that I should do?

Thanks.

Biff I have a FT 18B and felt the same way about the diffs. In fact I made my first runs with mine a little to loose, then had to break it down to re tighten them. They will smooth out with a few runs. Just don't over tighten because they strip real easy.

Howdy Dan!

This diffs feel ok its the bevel gears Im worried about. Feels like the mesh is too tight. This is what I think I'll try. Once I get the rest of my electronics delivered, Ill bench run the car for awhile to see if everything loosens up. If it doesnt I'll dig out some 600grit and sand down the backside of the smaller bevel gears. Hopefully get some axial play.

Without the thread search function it's a bit hard to say whether or not this has been answered, I just put my rc18t together with mamba 6800, I am running 15/55 right now with a 6 cell SMC pack, is this a bit high? The thing is a rocket, runtime seems good, but the motor is getting pretty hot. I was going to try 13/55 and see how things went, I found posts of other running 15, but they all seemed to be on 3 or 4s lipo.

I don't have one anymore but I think my Comp X was geared with a 12 or 13 running GP1100 6 and 7 cell packs and it had plenty of speed.

13/55 is insane, pulls backflips on back patio just from punching it, on asphalt is just spins out, have to ease into it. It ran a bit cooler, but its slower off road because of lack of traction, I can't imagine the 8000kv motor.

8000kv isnt asbig of a thing......theyre not bad, i used to run mine with 19/51 and it was ballistic on 3 cell. fastest i got out of it was 156kph which is like 98mph or somin like that

you should be fine with 15/55, if in doubt run a 60t or 58or 57t spur

The biggest obstacle was traction. I flipped my rear arms for a slightly longer wheelbase, lowered it with 4 front shocks and added prather lead weights to the "passenger" side to counterbalance the battery packs.
Hooked up and ran awesome then!
Wheelies were gone for the most part but once it got traction it ripped!

Default Help

Hey guys I am looking at Rc18 trucks and the xray m18t I am mostly looking for used on ebay. I can never find xray but there are a lot of rc18's on there. I was just wondering how everyone feels about both these trucks and which one I should get. Thanks!!!

What's up Biff and Dan. Got my FT 18B and Tekin Minirage on the way. Waiting to see what I get for Father's Day before I decide on an 18R, LOL. Danny, we started offroad 1/18 on the RCP track this weekend. You need to try that, it's a blast.

Edit: Couple pics of this weekend's layout. Alyssa launched my Mini-T 3' above the wall at practice Friday night. They said CV cranked his BL all the way up and hit the light fixture. Onroad and offroad on the same layout, so we may get some 18R action going also.
