Hi all, right now the sun is shining and it is time for driving RC outdoor, but when it's a rainy day and you feel the need for some RC racing, it is good to have your own living room track you can prepare i few minutes. I have made my own track using a cheap carpet (type: needle felt, or exhibition carpet), some soft rope and a hot glue gun. It takes 1-2 hours to create and then only a minute roll out and start racing and a minute to roll up and tick away. I am surprised how well it works, I have been using this carpet for more than a year and used it many times and it is still in perfect condition, the hot glue is flexible and strong enough to stay in place. I made this video on how to create and use it. Enjoy :

Do you feel the ribs in the carpet have any effect in the handling? In my search for a temporary carpet solution, I have been avoiding the carports with textures.
Also would you say this stuff is similar? https://www.homedepot.com/p/TrafficM...144H/203240727

Looks like same kind of carpet. I don’t see a difference if I drive across or along the ribs so don’t think there affect that much. Lots of grip
