I did once have the servo sort of freeze up after a crash, but a little tap and it cleared whatever jammed it. I didn't do any tuning with springs and oil yet. I think that would help with jumping and making it easier to steer through tight switchbacks.
On carpet I like to run 27.5wt oil front and rear with black springs all the way around

I have never ran on low pile carpet or astroturf. I was going to setup either of those on a outdoor section of my yard that I use as my “track”. Is the mini b to small for the low pile type astroturf?

My local track has an astro turf track we run on and the mini-B is awesome with Proline or Jconcepts carpet/astro tires

I put in a brushless motor and an ESC in mine. Does anyone need the stock ESC/RX, motor, and the controller? Been ran twice. It's basically new.

Anyone running one of the hobbywing 18 or 12T motors. I bought a 12T combo and soldered/installed everything then noticed the motor shaft is round and has no ground flat spot for the pinion set screw.

Can grind one myself but find it unusual to have to do it.

Figured I would ask before reaching out to hobbywing. I’ll pm someone I know running one but figured this might help someone else picking electronics.

I have the Hobbywing 18t combo and the pinion gear is solid without the flat on the shaft, I wouldn't worry about it

No flat spot required.

But note 'NOT TO OVER TIGHTEN' as you could bend the motor shaft.

Thanks - yeah so far runs fine and no slipping....just not what I am used to for cars. 12T is pretty darn quick with no boost.....next stop is the track!

Hey guys just got my kids into the mini b and we have 6 cars but only 3 remotes wasn’t sure if anyone had any stock set ups (remote esc motor) they would be willing to part with. They don’t need any brushless stuff just trying to get them running so they can run them around the back yard and practice. I appreciate any help we can get thanks guys.

Puck up a flysky radio, super cheap. also, the hobbywing quickrun wp1625 brushed speedo. you'll be up and running in no time.

Thanks for the tip, I’ll try that. Just bought my brother a mini-B for his birthday. Hopefully, I’ll get to bring him to the track this summer.

If you run the Reef's servo you should pickup the 3D printed mount off Ebay, works really good
