Default Non Brushless Losi Micro SCT on 2s?
Hi,

I was doing some "spring cleaning" today and came across two old Losi Micro SCT's, and was wondering if I can run 2s lipos in those cars? The standard battery has 4.8 volts... I tried a google search and the manual, but nothing came up.

Yes you can use a 2s lipo and it will work fine with the stock AM electronics.

an thats a Clear No you will see smoke on a 2 cell lipo.. you could use a single cell.. either 4.2v or lihv 4.35 not a 8.4 volt

Well, no one replied "in time", and I couldn't wait any longer, so I just tried it. The 2s battery caused the motor to get super hot, destroyed the pinion gear and I believe it may have fried something, not sure though. I did not try it again after all that happened, and I already sent the batteries back to Amazon. Lesson learned.
