AWESOME NEWs that yall are up and running! Hang in there on your times! I was where you are at a few years ago, and it is tough starting out! I would have quit if the guys here hadn't helped me get to where I'm at now! It's NOTHING like the 10th/8th scale racing I had done before. Once you get it down though it's a BLAST!!! Just try for slow, steady, and off the walls! Turn your throttle down to where it's easy to control the car when applying throttle out of the corners, helped me a lot! Then slowly turn it up as you get your control down. I also turn down the steering D/R when learning a new layout to where you can make it through the tightest corner but no more. When you get it down, turn the steering up to get through the corners faster, while keeping control.
Just keep on practicing, you'll get it! ;) |
Got my parts in today, so I got my MR03 ReadySet board installed into a new chassis and setup as my Stock Chassis. It's basically a BoxStock chassis with a PN Multi-Mount pod with a PN 70T and a PN Ball Diff. I'm running a 2015 R8 body and it's running well, but the rear end want's to spin around on me in the high speed 90*. I'll play with springs and t-plates and see if I can solve it. Anyway here's the fleet as it sits now.

Awesome Fleet Drew!!!
yeah I’ll definitely keep at it, another friend is coming by tomorrow and we’ll run some laps, I always have to take the track down when I’m not running due to the tiny garages over here ( the wife likes the car in the garage and I don’t have a problem with that) Keep running guys Later Walt |
Thanks, Walt! It sux you have to take ur track down, but I totally understand. I would have to do the same, but I use my Son's old room now that he lives in Austin. I would LOVE to have my track in my garage, but it gets WAY to hot in there 10 months out of the year!
I tried to put the PN V3 94/98mm pod on my Stock chassis but both of my PN 70T motors had a lot of vibration and it transfers it to the chassis, and is super loud when the body is on! I went back to the PN Multi Mount and it's better, but it reminds me why I like Brushless Motors! They are soo much smoother and quieter! Have Fun running on yalls new track! |
Hey Guy’s, I’m having trouble getting a pn 70t motor into a pn v4 motor pod, can it be done with the kyosho mounts or do I need the screw in adapter?
Thanks Walt (I’m asking everywhere about this) |
I would guess you can modify the Kyosho plates to work, but I’d be afraid they would no longer work properly with Kyosho motors. It would be best to get the screw in adapter for the PN70T. The silver one is on sale. MR3311CS

Thanks again Walt |
For box stock, what is the best Kyosho only tire combo people have used?
|
chjosi, I ran Kyosho Low or Super Low Medium fronts, and Soft Radial Rears. They were the best combo of Kyo. tires for me. Hope this helps.
|
I‘m still running kyosho 30 low profile fronts and 20 rears both slicks, they do the trick for me
Enjoy Walt |
Thanks for putting the numbers up of the tires Walt! I forgot Kyo. uses numbers to identify to hardness of their tires.

On the smooth side of RCP, 20 radial rears and 30 low height or radials trued to slicks on the front worked best for me, but when I switched to Marka rears and PN fronts the cars were much faster through the course and I all but quit using Kyosho tires.
|
I don’t have a good way of measuring that, but feel like I get more laps with the PN/Marka combo. Kyosho tires would be good for spec Box Stock class.
