Default Best radio for Mini-Z and dNano

I'm hoping to get some information and advice on choosing a transmitter. Very much appreciate any help.

After a long RC break, I'd like to get into multiple classes and categories including Mini-Z. I also have a large dNano collection from years ago that I'm also hoping to finally set up and use (possibly using TCP type tracks).

With that said, what is the 'acknowledged' best radio you can buy if cost isn't the main factor? Keeping in mind that the dNano cars are ASF and I'm sure I will end up with some ASF Mini-Zs. From what I can see, the KO EX-1 ver 3 ASF model and the Kyosho EX-6 R seem to be the two best ASF radios that you can buy. Would that be correct and if so which one is better?

Thank you.

I believe that I would skip over the EX-1 and concentrate on the later EX-6. You could go old school and pick up a used Euros EX-10 and equip it with a 902-SM module.

I do have some older Transmitters. KO EX-10 Helios with the dNano module and also the Kyosho EX-5 UR. However I'm going to be moving them on to friends.

The two I'm considering atm are the following.

ww3.kyoshoamerica.com/Syncro-EX-6R_p_24947.html

ww3.kopropo.co.jp/en/products/view/80537

Is there any reason that the older EX-1 would be better than the EX-6R, especially for dNano?

EX-6 would be the only one I personally would go for.

Thanks. I'm probably going to go for the EX-6R. I was just interested in hearing about whether the EX-1 had any extra features or advantages.

Too bad the KO EX-RR isn't ASF compatible.

I have the EX-6 if you're interested. I've moved from EX-10 Eurus, EX-1 and EX-6. The EX-6 is faster and smoother. It is also lighter, not top heavy like the EX-1. If you have an EX-RR that would like to trade, that would be best for me.
My local shop is closed. The next mini-z track that I know of is 400 miles away so I'm switching to 1/10. I will be listing all stuffs soon but if anyone is interested, you can pm me.

Thanks for the comparison. I will be buying my items from a local retailer when I've decided on the radio.

I don't have an EX-RR but will consider it for the other categories that I'd like to get back into such as on road electric and nitro.

Speaking about the current high end radios, I posted in the Sanwa M17 thread about the RR. I don't understand why the KO radios are never mentioned in the same 'league' as the Sanwa and Futaba. I understand that the Sanwa has had the advantage in response speed etc since the M12s and now the M17 is supposedly even faster, but why is there no love for EX-RR?
