Why do you buy mini RC cars?

Because one of my local tracks has a mini class. And they have a smaller indoor track for winter months/rainy days. The mini class is the most fun class to run at the indoor track IMO. Leaves plenty of room to pass and take different lines than the guy/guys in front of you.

typically, the smaller the scale the more focus is placed on driving than equipment. It's not saying that equipment doesn't matter, just that there is a smaller difference in equipment than 1/10. In 1/10 90% of the speed is in the car and setup. Smaller scales 90% is in the driver and tires. As long as you are on the right tires, and have a consistent setup, you can just put down and drive.

In the summer I run 5th scale off road and 8th scale on road. In the winter we started 27th scale so we would have something to do when its too cold to run outside, and it takes a lot less space then running even 18th.

Price, & places to run them...
From 1/28 to 1/5 choose your poison.
Everysingle one is fun!!! 1/28 being smaller doesn't mean less fun. In a garage track made of carpet you spent countless hours tuning and perfecting the supreme machine your mind tells you to do!!
Like this once was a "x-mod" toy evo level RC...
Or the more serious (not!!) Miniz AWD...
1/14 speed runs...
1/16 bashing...

My thoughts exactly. Definitely spend more time on the track and less time in the pits.

I got them so I could run inside when weather doesn’t permit running the larger stuff. I actually like the smaller scale better than my TEKNO stuff. It’s just easy to head in the garage for a quick practice session.

Been running SC28's with between 9 -14 friends every weekend in a friends large garage.
I love these small cars for the price. 50$ and you're in. Compared to what it cost for my 1/10 gear its next to free and allows a lot more people i know to get into racing who otherwise couldn't afford it or at least would rather spend the money on something else. Fifty bucks isn't even a night at the bar so everybody that thought it looked fun went right out and got one. Just as challenging as the big cars and no mod bs. Put your wallet down it's all stock, best driver wins. We have a blast and no waiting for over an hour between races for other classes to run like at the big club track.

One of our track builds, it was raining outside and the floor was cold causing condensation. Hence the torch and blanket.
