I couldn't find anything about the WL Toys A202 1/24th model anywhere on these boards so thought I'd post a new topic.

Here is the model I am talking about:

Its a 1/24th scale car, comes complete w/ 2.4ghz radio, seems perfect for a small track. I've read reviews of this car and have seen plenty of YouTube videos. It looks pretty nice for $45 (Amazon listed above is selling for $65, but you can find these for $45 on eBay and elsewhere online -brand new).

For the price I really want to try one out, but also don't want to waste money if its junk. The parts all look pretty decent though, -aluminum chassis and adjustable camber links, etc... You can also get these on NitroRCX and replacement and option parts seem to be readily available. In fact it looks like a knock off of a Kyosho 1/24 scale buggy to me, ...wonder if it shares some of the same parts??

Does anyone own one of these? Curious what your thoughts are?

i bought the A202 and it's BEEFY compared to the Losi and other Losi Clones. It's a completely different design than the Losi. The aluminum chassis setup leaves lots of room to uprade your electronics, it can carry a 500mah LiPo instead of a 220mah like the Losi & clones, plus the motor is at least TWICE the size of the Losi and others.

I'd go ahead and order the upgraded metal cvd shafts, because i smacked a wall with my font tire, and the tiny plastic U-Joint broke on one of my front axles.

So, that in lies the problem with the WLToys stuff......Either order spare parts and keep them around or wait for 2 weeks for them to get here from China.

With all that said, OVERALL, I'd say the WLToys A2xx series car is great value for the money. It's wicked fast too!
