Ok thanks I can see now that you mention that , width of the gear diff would in fact affect the length of the outdrives .

I havent measured but I believe the diffs (ARC vs SpecR) are wider causing that. ARC ones are wider. I have a ARC gear diff in my Serpent and that dropped right in, the S411 has shorter shafts too.

Inner pin to outer pin holes all matched when I first did mine so everyting fit on.

Cool thanks again, i noticed the arc ones are 44 or 46mm and the spec r say 50mm/52mm so I was expecting you to have used the ARC outdrive shafts, I thought about using xray parts but the price turned me away, so Im gona go with Arc or HB Tcx , just making sure I no what shafts are gona fit so I dont order the wrong ones. Thanks !

Hey robbob, did you use spec r outdrives or ARC ? Thanks !

Yup - I used the SpecR inner pins, pivots and mounts ...... the only change is the outer hinge pin.

SpecR is too small so I switched to ARC outer carriers, C's, Knuckles and pins (xray works too) .... Depending on where you are ARC is less expensive and Ive had zero problems with mine.
