Conversation Between mebolson and ddick

Hello,

I had little temp and speed problem with my combo:
I have a speed ans temp problem with my combo.
Combo is XR8 and Hacker Motor in a X7R Eco.

Drive 46 gear and 15 pinion and other drivers have more speed in races as i.

So i read here and see that i should use a timing of 7 ?
Now i have timing 5 and Punch 5 and have temperatur about 186F.
If i go to timing 7 i think temeratur will also increase and i think it is on limit already.


Not sure if the XR8 has an issue or my settings are wrong.

You wrote in the forum you drive 16 oinion but if i use it i get temperature about 199 F.
So i not know why my combo get so hot.

Any Idea ?
