    Thanks Bill... That's way out of my budget. It's a shame.. Back in the early 1990's my friends and I built a 20+ member club of silver can running F1's... I wish the mini class cars still had some following. I think the VTA looks fun but if nobody is running it I don't want to invest.

    Hello,

    Just to give you an idea about WGT costs, I usually have $800-1,000 into a competitive WGT car plus $300-600 into a transmitter/receiver, $200-400 into a charger/power supply and another $500 into extras.

    Used cars, transmitters/receivers, chargers, tools, etc. should go for no more than 50% of their original cost.

    5280 boosts some of the fastest r/c racers in the country. Great lessons to be learned there...for sure.

    Bill...a sometimes visitor of 5280...my favorite r/c track in the US.
