    Hi:
I think we had a contact in the past, but I canīt find your email so I write you here...I plan to put a modified OS 56 Alpha fourstroke in my old vintage Kyosho Vanning buggy...I had a OS FS 40 C engine installed, but I want a little more power...I modified my 56 Alpha with the 40 C camshaft and harder springs...now I donīt know what clutch is the best....2 or 3 shoe?? I think you are the specialist and will know...for this my friend will machine a iron flywheel for this engine and must know if he must drill for 2 or 3 shoe-pins...also I must know what carb to use...it should be good power and throttle responds....can you sell me a complete clutch?? Iam not sure here in germany availiable...
As I told you in the past,my 1/10 Wankel project is nearly ready....if you are interested,I can email you a few pics....
    Hope you can help me...
Thank you very much in advance
    Very best regards from Germany
    Albert
PS: If you have a few pics,my email: [email protected]

It did not work - they are different sizes. The one that fits in the FS52/56 is the FS40S-C cam. If you can find one, they work very well.

I noticed a little while back you tried to fit a O.S. 26s-c cam in a O.S. 52 motor and it did not work. Do you still have the 26 cam and would you be willing to sell it?
    Thanks!

The side intake head is available by itself. I make them for my GT2 conversion kits, so they already have the exhaust header welded to them - check the instruction manual on my website (thumprc.com) to see if the orientation of it will be a problem.

The side intake mods alone don't make a noticeable power difference, but there is TONS of power to be gained by using bigger 13mm carburetors and open exhausts if you don't need quick throttle response or you can rig up an accelerator pump.

I can sell it with or without a slide carb - I'm guessing you don't want that carb for a heli. Including the exhaust header, carb clamp bolt, intake manifold, intake insulating gaskets, valve cover gasket, 13-10mm carb adapter, port plug, cylinder head, CNC machining, and welding, the side intake totals $105.21 USD.

    hi dp

is this side intake head setup something you offer?
I need this as the rear intake carb on my heli will not work
as it interferes with rotor blades...

can you tell me prices and details, and about how much more hp
than stock which os lists as one half hp?

    thanks

The FS26C with the OS #10C carburetor can easily pull more than 20000 RPM. I don't have a tach or a dyno at my disposal, but I would guess mine get around 25000 RPM on a long straightaway. Brian Kinney put one on the X-Dyno (way in the beginning of the thread) and pulled it all the way up to 27000.

I don't think they can sustain that kind of RPM for too long - at least I wouldn't feel comfortable having to push it that hard to keep something in the air.

    Hi

    How are ya?

What kind of rpm max are you running?

Would you say that this can put out as much as a k&b 40 if i use no muffer
    and thirty percent nitro?

    Thanks for your great thread.

    best,

    michael

Thanks again for all your help, you are great on this forum...

what rpm are you running your .26 at? I am wondering, since you guys rev them up, if
I can run the ys and the os 63, 70 series Alpha, and the 110 engines at higher rpm...
like two stroke, without blowing them up...what is your experience?

I will have to machine a high flow fan for cooling, but the gear ratios would be great
if I could run 14000 rpm up on them...what do you think?

    best,

    Hey man

thanks for all the 4 stroke fanaticism...I bought the 56fsalpha for my vintage chopper, did not want to modify the little one for more power...but I might build a little electric chopper with that for a power plant!...What is the most linear clutch set up for it?

my vintage ship is like an airplane use, engine prop up on top of the ship...cannot wait
for that header sound...do you think a 4 inch header is a good functional length, power,
    and soundwise?

    thanks for all your help...
