    Yes, the Novak Micro GT can be used with the stock AE motor. As that is the combo that I use at my local racetrack. I'm not to familiar with the Scalpel motor, but there is a guy at my track that was trying a Scalpel out using the stock AE motor. The stock speed contol is excellent, although the Micro GT is an upgrade for only $10 more than stock. The Micro GT also doesn't have reverse, but a better brake over stock. Hope this helps!

    Hey dude the rc18r uhmm can the micro gt or w.e u call it be used with the stock motor? and is the scalpel stock motor faster than the stock ae 1? and how much better is the micro gt thing than the rc18r stock? idc wat volts w.e just does it make it faster at all or w.e
