I am having this problem with the generator saying that the firmware is not compatible. I have a 3C so that might be the problem.

Here is the link to the firmware that is on my 3C. http://rc-engine-analysis-software.com/3c.s19

    Thanks,

Alright, thanks. It definitely makes sense to use the STM8. My only reason not to is that I already have the Raspberry Pi. If I can make it work with SWIM, this could be a fun project.

I read that you were the first to hack the firmware on a GT3B. I know it's established that you can swap firmware using an STM8 board, but I'd like to attempt it using what I have at hand, namely a Raspberry Pi. I haven't played with hardware much, but I do some software reversing. Could you give me any pointers on how to interface the Pi and the GT3B? What protocol is used on the GT3B?
