Regarding your issue with stripping the front wheel hexes on your ZX6, my buddy and I have had that same issue dating back to my first Lazer the ZX5 FS SP2. I've tried, AKA, Proline, Kyosho and DE Racing wheels and issues with all of them. I've even pinned the hex with a dowel and keyed it to the wheel. I've tried multiple brand of wheel nuts, both steel nuts and nylon lock nuts with large diameter flanges. For me the grip from the track sufface, tires and 6.5t power was too much for the 12mm hex surface to cope with. I blew through a lot of good tires before I came up with switching to 14mm hexes.
The ultimate solution for me was to go to 14mm front wheel hexes =>
