    i'm not the expert on electrics. but basically, you would also need to change your esc to a brushless one. Cheap options include Leopard, Hobbywing, and Hobbyking. stores online often sell packages which also include a program card. Brushless motors produce alot more torque, so you would have to change your spur gear to a metal one to prevent stripping. You would likely have to go over the gear ratios, and get a spur with more teeth, or a pinion with less teeth, or both, as your new motor is going to be faster. Trial and error is one way, but some websites have a XLS spreadsheet to calculate the gear ratios. For battery, the stock Nimh with your kit is not going to last you long running time. get a higher mah one, or just simply go for Lithium Polymer. they require a specific charger for that, but they're lighter and cost around the same. please don't do your shopping locally or you'll get ripped off real bad.

    hi there, i recently purchased a kyosho fazer kobra.. im wondering if i can change my stock motor to a brushless one? can give me info on that..? if that doesnt trouble you
