The 5-port motor with a 6mm restricter was pretty strong, yet the fastest car in the field (Joe) was a non turbo 3-port, isn't life strange?

Yes your right I thought the 3 port was suppose be the rule, and if with a 6mm plug I feel helps 5 port motor.

Since I have decided not to post on the thread, to avoid the ire of Phil...

The thing that is behind the issue is not the availability of 3 port motors it is the availability of the Nova Rossi Motor that "some" have determined is the "one" to use. It is designed for on-road.
There are plenty of 3 port buggy motors available as pointed out. The potential problem with an arbitrary restrictor of "7mm" for say 5 port motors, is that may or may not what is needed for equivalency.
What is really going on here, in my opinion anyway, is "some" have determined that only an "on-road" motor will win and the 3-ports are hard to get, not going to be available, or not the correct specification. If 3-port buggy motors are available, the rule should not be changed. The rule was "3-port" not "3-port, on-road", Nova Rossi XXX_YY Motors"

You've been seduced by Jeff and Jason!! What's wrong with the original idea of off-road motors?

Hey have you guys heard from Garen? I am supposed to be getting a warranty replacement motor to replace my defective VOX, found a casting issues with the block causing a bad fuel leak. I've been in contact with him but he sort of hard to get in contact with lately, just wondered if you guys had spoke to him at all? See you guys at the tracks soon!
