10000mah or 6500mah?
 

Hi,

I run a MBX5R buggy with Tekin RX8/T8 combo and will be racing at a new venue with 20 minute mains, with talk of going to 25 minutes. I currently have 5000mah 4S batteries that won't last that long and would like a view on which of these two 4S batteries would be my best bet. The 10000 would surely be big enough, but it is a much lower C rating and another $60-80 depending on which 6500 I pick.

I've got a buddy who purchased those 6500 packs from MA and we run at a large track here in Atlanta, Georgia....Get's about 20 minutes running hard on his RC8T But I am a little skeptical about the advertised 150C rating....

I couldnt imagine 10k mAh packs. I rarely run 5000 to the LVC at 3.2. I think that would be a heavy pack. 6500 should keep you running for a good while

The larger the capacity (MAh), the bigger the pack will physically be. Something else to keep in mind.

Yea, I bought some 5200 Turnigy hardcase packs and they where a gair to big for all my battery bays except the Slash. Im happy with 4000-5000mAh. Decent run times.

Chris what KV motor are you running in the buggy? Also the 10000 is almost 200 grams heavier than the 6500.
