Arrow Who want's to see a 5000 mAh class cased pack from MaxAmps.com????

OK guys just feeling the waters here. Who would like to see a 5000 mAh or so ROAR approved case pack from MaxAmps.com???

I'm just gonna ask this in a few places and see what we get for responses. If it looks like it's worth doing we may look at it.

I use to run a lot of maxamps stuff but now since other legal packs are available I go with them. Basically if I can get a roar pack for a similar price I go for that, just incase I go to a big race.

What does the approval really mean? it's the same battery inside right?

I have heard of an approved battery going into thermal meltdown and taking the car with it when it shorted. What does the case do if it can't prevent a catostrofic failure? make it slightly less likely from impact? would it be better than the case under the shrink that is offered now? If so how?

The approval means that ROAR gets another $250.00 for a battery test that they perform. We've determined that at this time it's not worth the tooling costs to do any other cased packs. The ROAR market is so small that it simply doesn't pay to make packs to suit them.

It would be good to see something like that from Maxamps. I think it will be a case of: If you make it people will buy it. They will probably not request it of you on forums, because they have plenty of other options for Roar approved packs.

We have decided not to have it approved. It simply doesn't make sense at this time. The market is just not large enough.

Best regards,
