Default 6000mah saddle pack help

I have a 6000 maxamp saddle pack that one side has swelled up it is no longer any good .The question I have is the other half of the pack is still good and it reads 3.72 volts. Can I break it apart and run each cell in series to make a 11.1 batt for an 18th scale car and if so what will the mah be. Thanks for your help.

The cells used in the saddle packs are 2000 mAh each. The problem in doing what your talking about is that we weld the tabs together and they are near impossible to get apart without destroying the tabs.

Does that mean that if the cells are 2000mah each that is what they will charge at run in series whether it be 1 cell or 3 cells run in series.

They are grouped in series to get the voltage then grouped in parallel to get the capacity.

I was looking to get another 6000 saddle pack. I bought the one I have in mid December of 07' for $109.99. But now you guys want 169.99. That's over a 50% increase in less than a year. What's up with that? You must think your OPEC.

Oh well. I'll wait for the Reedy 5100 35c hard pack for $119.99. MAXAMPS loses. And with your prices,,,,,,, who will buy them?

Shipping costs went up as did cell prices from the manufacturers. And remember you get fresh built packs as you order not something that has been on a shelf for months on end. We also lowered the warranty price to off set the increase. Coming here and posting what you did will not change anything. And don't forget we still have our membership program as well. Great discounts right there. Oh and you won't find a 6000 saddle pack anywhere else.

Best regards,

Jason
