The rules for Lemans 21.5 will be SpeedPassion rims and tires only, as that is what the majority is running. No remounts allowed. I've converted an F1 and a CRC Gen X 10 to the class along with my LM-1. You'd have to find a way to mount the single bolt rim on the rear with either an adapter or get a whole rear Serpent Axle like I did. The fronts need a special bearing, but are $30 a set for the bearings. If you're buying new for the LM class, reconsider. It will end up costing you an arm and leg. You'd be better served buying a high end F1 car that has a 200mm front end and getting the special bumper for $9 to mount a full body on it. The wheelbase would be very close. Besides, you should be looking at the SpeedMerchant Roadkill 10. We're going to try a 10.5, 235mm class. Open 2S battery, open tires, open timing w/boost and turbo.

That's alot of hokey pokey for a what's suppose to be a "spec class". At least consider what John said and think about Pro10. If your willing to put that much time and effort into a 21.5 car, you would probably have fun with Pro10. The Speed Merchant Roadkill10 and the Corally 10SL are the only current 235mm production cars. The Roadkill 10 is still young, but John and Stan snagged preorder cars! Your other options are older 235mm cars and prototype/modded builds. I'm working on a RC10L2 with modded rear pod/suspension.

This is where we are at so far for rules between input from John, Stan, and myself. The only thing we talked about and had not decided on was minimum starting tire diameter. This is to discourage truing new foams down to 1 race rubber bands.

Pro10 235
any 10.5T (limit, not spec)
open ESC, open timing
any 2S lipo configuration
235mm chassis
non-nitro 235mm bodies
1150 gram min weight
open tire

I should be there by 5:30 or so. If anyone else can open earlier, please do so.

Turn the punch control down and under gear. They will be fast, have a ton of torque and be drive-able. It will take a lot of manners to race Pro10.

F1 is making a comeback locally. It's still growing across the country. I know there are at least 8 or 9 if not more cars out there. Dust them off and get a setup!

Missed ya tonight John. Hopefully catch you next week.

Spun the axle clean off at the diff pin on the wife's vintage 10L. When I showed Tim the motor I had in it he just shook his head and said "well ya that doesn't belong in there". The 10L has a Castle 3800kv 4 pole sensorless motor.

I'll be back! It was one of those family moments I just couldn't ignore.

I saw Vue had posted in the 2013-2014 thread about racing Friday nights. Just wondering if the track will still be open for practice on Tuesdays?
