Short course tire/motor recommendations
 

What tires are recommended for short course?

Looking on http://www.marcca.com/CarpetOff.html it mentions stock SCT rubber tires. Does stock in this case mean just what comes with the ready to run trucks?

What turn/kv motors are people using?

tires have to be standard sct tires and wheels its pretty wide open beyond that

our classes are based on ability not equipment i personally liked a 10.5 some of our fastest racers wont go higher than a 10.5

thanks, guess I'll just get the tires I have nice and clean and start with those and see what happens then.

HPI Blitz D compound tires work well in the rear and last all season. The stock Kyosho tires work very well all around but wear fast. On front it depends on how you like your truck to turn. A lot of steering, go with the Kyosho tires. If you want it to push, use something like the stock Associated tires. I got some D-Boots tires that I like a lot. I run them front and rear. Hope this helps you some.
