I can try but I have to help my son do his first clutch job...

oh fun.
I miss the first car I owned. It was a Datsun 310GX. you could access the clutch/pressure plate assembly through a panel in the bell housing. The whole job took about 30minutes. I use to go through clutch plates racing around town cause I could change it in the parking lot of the auto parts store and keep going.
I am going to try and make it, gotta slow my car down tho until I get better. breaking parts is getting expensive.

This is an Accord and it would seem the japs thought it best to remove the car from around the engine to access the clutch,
Speed for my car has never been a problem I was lookin to slow her down heck last week I ran OLD 1700/2400 cells and a p2k geared low still had plenty of straight away speed for me
the end of a smaller track than I am used to came darn fast.....
Still I broke nothing and was marshalled never, the ingredients for a good day to me
not to mention I am still picking out carpet fibers from every nook and cranny on my sedan!!!

what do you reccomend for a setup? Also do any of you guys have a cheap body (10 bucks?) i could use for my xxx-s im buying? I dont think kraig is including a body, but he is including tons of extras (springs, parts) that more than make up for it!
im low on cash, so i gottta wiat before i get a new battery. I only have 1 2500 batery to race with, so its putting alot of strain on the battery charging 4 times in a row!

I honestly don't think that many (if any) people will be racing sedans at MARCCA this year. This is not the official word, it is just my opinion. I ran the show for the last year, both indoor and out, and I will no longer be doing so. Most of the consistent sedan racers have pretty much decided to run at Trackside, for a variety of reasons.
Some of them:
- the carpet is in disrepair
- there is nobody willing to race direct on a consistent basis
- there is not much competition left
- the club Pres. made some comments to the few remaining racers that left them with the feeling that the club did not need or want them
I wish it wasn't the case, but even when we tried to bring people back in, there is just too much of a "we don't care about you" attitude coming from certain people in the club. As a result, the people gradually get frustrated and go to race somewhere else.
There is a board meeting this Saturday where some of these issues will hopefully be addressed.

Man that sucks shane . I really wanted to get into it this year. But in january (i get my license) I may be able to drive to trackside to race....but it is hours away. I really hope people will show up racing this year.
When is the next time they will be "racing"?

I'm not sure. I'd wait until after this weekend's board meeting.
As I said, I'm only passing on what I know so far, which is not official. And the bottom line is, if there is nobody who is willing to run a sedan program week in and week out, there isn't going to be one.
Maybe we'll work something out at the board meeting, maybe not. We'll let everybody know what the new schedule is when we decide on it.
