We would like to introduce to you the newly established Tamiya RC Racing School. As the Tamiya Racing Factory (TRF) develops the race car, the Tamiya RC Racing School (TRRS) aims to develop the driver. The 1st stage of our operation is the Beginner Program; our mission here is to promote RC racing and to provide support to the beginners in the hobby and the aspiring RCers:

• RC Clinic – Learn the basics of RC racing with lectures and hands-on driving using with the use of our six specially-built school cars, featuring the brand new user-friendly Tamiya TT-01 chassis. Emphasis is given to the familiarity with the car and its controls and the subsequent development of the driving skill. Open to all RC beginners, adults and kids above 7 years old.

• Arrive and Drive – No RC car yet? No problem! You can still experience the fun and excitement of RC racing. Our school cars will be available for test drives and fun runs and get a taste of the thrill of RC racing. Race with your friends or just polish your driving skills, until you can buy your own RC car. Available during racedays.

• XB Class Cost-Controlled Racing – Xciting Budget racing. Cost-controlled racing for beginners making RC racing fun but not expensive. Graduates of the clinic can go straight to XB racing to test their new-found skills. All race-ready beginners owning the Tamiya TT-01 chassis in box-stock form are welcome to join. The XB class will also be included in the Tamiya Cup Philippines qualifiers as a promotional class. Trophies and prizes will be given to winners of every race.

Since we are all experienced RCers out here in RC Tech, obviously, the school’s services will be extended towards your family members and friends who are interested to get started in our hobby. This is the venue where aspiring RCers can receive formal RC driving instructions, using purpose-built equipment that can take a substantial amount of pounding without damage to the car.

The Tamiya RC Racing School was inaugurated last Sunday, December 11, at the Tamiya racetrack located at the Park Square 1 roofdeck. We were quite overwhelmed with the success and we would like to thank all the people who came, and all the RCers who supported us and believed in our cause. The Tamiya RC Racing School website is currently under construction. Please check us out at www.tamiyarcschool.com, where all information and many pictures can be found.

For immediate inquiries and registration please call 824-2815 or text 0917-3453746. Registration for the month of January is now on-going. RC clinic schedule for the month of January will be on January 15 and January 29, 2006. A maximum of 12 students will be accomodated for every class.

Due to the enormity of this project, we would be needing a lot of support from the RC community. It is a logistical challenge for us to acquire enough batteries and tires for our operations. We would greatly appreciate your donations of old practice packs and old tires already unfit for your racing purposes, for the benefit of the future RC racers.

kirizutochan: Our RC clinics are scheduled twice a month, every other week. Every sunday, pero depende sa race skeds ng makati RC speedway. We will always give way to the races. A session is projected to start from 9am to 2pm. sana. Of couse, pwede naman maglaro ng RC habang may clinic. Lectures and hands-on driving naman yung clinic. Mas mahaba ang lectures than the hands-on driving so maraming time for you to play. Bigayan lang tayo. :)

Hot Bodies will release two new versions of their popular and successful Cyclone touring car early in 2006. According to the reports there is going to be two versions, the Atsushi Hara limited edition version will come with all aluminium parts anodized purple while Surikarn's version will feature blue anodized parts.
