I believe there were already attempts made in creating a national sanctioning body but I really don't know what happened.

Putting up a sanctioning body would be great, this would make things interesting in the racing/flying scene. But actually putting up one would require time, money and effort which I doubt that any weekend racer/flyer would devote such.

i think a sanctioning body(for racing) only needs the commitment of race organizers to function!

i have this idea.


1. rules-easy!!(organizer must strictly implement rules on car/truck/buggy specs, knowing we are only after drivers results, ranking through basic point system)

2. communication-easy!!(through internet, the organizer just uploads the race results asap to a yahoo group to submit a sanctioned event)

Good idea, silver spoon. Here are my thoughts on a sanctioning body.

1) The local IFMAR rep (Jack Enrile) must say yes to any committee formed for this purpose. I am sure he will but with certain conditions. I dont know these conditions but I can ask.

2) The sanctioning body, or committee, must have full control of the race regardless of who the organizer is. That means the committee will be responsible for ALL decisions with regard to implementation of international rules and regulations AND outcome of the race. They must also have FULL CONTROL of the AMB. This is to eliminate all accusations of cheating.

3) Who will comprise this committee of non-partisan hobby enthusiasts? This must be determined by the local IFMAR rep. and/or the body of hobbyists themselves. No hobby shop owner should be able to vote. This, again, is to eliminate accusations.

4) There must be yearly dues to be able to pay for the committee and it's work thoroughout the year with regard to races. Hobbyists should shoulder this cost. Anyone who is not a dues paying member should not be able to race since the idea is to sanction all races.

These are just some thoughts off the top of my head.

like what paulC said many other tried, I even organized a meeting on my birthday last Nov30,2002 ata sa congo grill, which was facilitated by Gene (PP3). Ala din nang yari, at least there was a better understanding between shop/track owners (i hope)

anyways, with what JP is saying there has been a rep in IFMAR long time ago in the person of Jack Enrile! I hope it will be alive again! and lahat kasama, ep and gp!

We still have a long way to go, but if there is a will there is a way.

Hoe all will be goo but for the meantime....
