I'm from Sta. Rosa Village I.. obviously just a stone-throw away from Paseo :)

A local club will be great in promoting the hobby in our area... you can count me in and give you support in anyway I can. Good to know there will be regular races and a group we can regularly join.

I was talking to edwin a month ago with the possibility of putting up an indoor racetrack in front of Toyota.. He said that there's good potential considering that many mtn bikers are RC enthusiasts.

I know one avid racer from Binan (he was one of the founders of of pearl plaza track)... and there maybe others who regularly play at Sta. Cruz / Batangas area...

What if we start the survey with the moutain bikers? I'm sure we can get Edwin's help

Sure, would welcome that.
Maybe we should meet up sometime so I can take a look at the place in front of Toyota you are referring to but is that covered already? the best place to start looking is really warehouses. Would appreciate your help. Maybe, just maybe, you guys are interested to be part of the proponents...thus giving you free membership.

just a though you may wanna consider.

i said it before.....

now i'm sayin it again!!!!

you build it and we will come!!!!!!

i dont mind going to sta. rosa for indoor racing. BTW you mentioned a carpet track? sounds great!!!!!

but thats just me.

if you are concerned with the attendance, and support of local racers well guess it wont be a problem cause there is an understanding that once a race has been set on a particullar day no other track will set a race on the same day.

as long as its indoor

In my opinion, as long as its a nice venue to race in or even just run with your buds, the location won't be a problem even for us coming from the north. I mean, look at montalban. It's outside NCR but people still go there. What more for an indoor track. I guess the main concern would be accessibility and the track facility itself.
I think you can lay down an asphalt track first if that's easier but location wise, that won't be a problem. Good Luck in your venture!

That's great!.. I would love to run on the asphalt pavement. Its best if the surface is smooth and not much peables.. Track must be easily converted to a technical to a balance race track.. if ever this will be push tru I'll be one of the happy r/c club member. I agree with the type of track that other have mention especially how the roof will be made like in japan type roof ..

 :tire:

how is the traffic there these days? two years ago medyo ma-traffic going from paseo to the ssway...

speedphreak 05-19-2005 09:59 AM

nice idea

an on-road track south of the metro would really be nice. i personally get around much due to nature of work and from what i've seen sta. rosa has a lot of commercial establishments and its not too far to tagaytay where pipol can relax and unwind after a race :D

in fact there is a new exit after sta rosa...i think it is called greenfields. when you take that exit, the road will lead you to paseo in 5 mins @ 100 km/h speed. wala halos kotse don.

not to turn you down. but, the alabang viaduct (southbound) will be rehabilitated starting september (daw) and will continue for a year.

a south track really sounds good. i've been down south all my life (susana heights) and to join and practice at tracks in the metro, i have to think about gas expense (around 300 a day), toll (P58, one way) and track fee. so, kung babaliktarin, almost ganun din gastos ng mga galing north to your track.

:)

thanks for the feedback sup.

Valid comment - that's why the planned track is really for peeps in the south.

Northerners can still play there but maybe not that often.
