If I were to choose which 2.4GHz system I would buy? I would choose the Spektrum brand compare to the Futaba just because they were the one who first introduced the Spread Spektrum in RC business.
Brushless pala ang gusto mo. Pag sa brushless ka, I would recommend one of the following:

• Novak GTB SS with SS13.5 for the 27turn brushed motor equivalent.
• Novak GTB SS with SS10.5 for the 19turn brushed motor equivalent.
• Novak GTB SS with SS8.5 for the 17-15turn brushed motor equivalent

The reason why you have to choose the GTB SS compared to the LPR brushless system is because of your radio of choice (Spread Spektrum). The GTB SS takes advantage of the Spread Spektrum fast reaction.
Pros with brushless setup:

• very little maintenance
• fast
• GTB SS takes advantage of the fast reaction time from your Spread Spektrum radio.
• GTB SS has a build in LiPo cutoff which you be interested later on
• Programmable
• you can use the GTB SS with brushed motors also (same as LPR).

The cons with brushless setup:

• it's almost the same price as your M-03R and radio combined.
• you will not be able to race at TCS
• you will not be able to race at Norcal either.
• and If you intent to race your M-03R in the Philippines, I don't think they will allow the brushless motor.
• it's harder to drive (because its fast) from a beginner point of view.

If your answer is yes, then join the first ever NASCAR-like rc race in the Philippines. The 1st Amoranto Velotrack RC Challenge. To be held on June 9, 2007 at Amoranto Stadium, Roces Ave., Q.C.

This Race is open to all kinds of RC racers. From Nitro touring cars, Monster trucks, Truggies, Stadium Trucks, and to Electric racers as well.

This event will be featured on ABS-CBN's Sports Unlimited, if negotiations pushes through.

Practice Dates : May 19, Saturday, 9am -1pm.
May 26, Saturday, 9am - 1pm
June 2, Saturday, 9am -1pm
And before the race on June 9, Saturday, 8am -1pm.

Entrance Fee, per person, : P300
