Stuka, you are right , a yagi is best for base but then we will need a rotator if you want to CQ. Mas mura alambre, apat , medyo slanted, N,S,. E, and W.. May switch ka lang to choose the direction. Wag na ung gutter mount. Mhal pa yun. Alum tube lang na may 3 balbas. I have the dimensions. i build antennas noon. any freq. and any type.

I have a Radio Shack SWR meter, Standing Wave Ratio. But I can build dozens of that for P300. each. i have to check the model. Simple 40 ch to, no frills. SSB would be nicer for DX but for a local net, yung simple mas ok.

If you know some people with short distance fixed communications need. For example, sa farm nila sa provincia. For secu, na may outpost na may car batt dun. Para doon sa maga neuros sa secu. i build fixed channel radios na CB, na oddball freq kung gusto nila. Similar tech yan sa RC natin. Alam mo ba, I can put a mike in your RC transmitter and an ampli-spker sa RX and you can talk. 1/2 watt yan, good for 500 meters with talk antennas but can go one KM or more on a high base antenna. |Well, pwde natin gawing 5 W, 10 Watts, etc. Wireless is my forte.

alam mo kung gusto mo walang kalaban, ikabit ko yung transmitter mo sa CB naka hook up sa car batt. ayun, 5watts ang power mo to control your aircraft. Walang makakapasok dun sa freq. mo. Kaya lang pag nag pilot error, di mo masigaw "Radio interference".

Alam mo, kung matipid ka talaga, pwede naman e-hook up and transmitter mo sa car batt na may long chord. or kaya, we use 2 emergency lights batteries na sealed lead acid type na 4 AH each, naka sabit sa belt mo. Ang nicad kasi, sa long term, sinisira nya and alambre then the PCB ng radyo. nagtratravel and acid. Nagblablaken and itim na wire una. Kaya sa camera, naklagay "do not use nicad" dahil dito at hindi dahil sa voltahe. Sa receiver, ok na ang metal Hydride, pero alkaline is the best or ordinary battery. Di pa traydor sa bagsak ng voltahe.

A reliable 2 ch is a quick plane to set up and fly when your 4 channels are down. Mybe my partner can choose a proven design and offer it for P1.5k. Wag na yung mga masyadong maliit gaya ung kay Santos na zero. Too tiny.
