from rccaraction website: A2 finals report:

"Xrays Paul Lemieux won A2 in dramatic fashion. At the start of the race Yokomo's Masami Hirosaka bumped Hot Bodies' Andy Moore causing him to drop several positions. Masami took over the lead but was either issued a "stop and go" or pulled over out of sportsmanship. I was too busy looking through the lens on my camera. When Masami pulled over, Tamiya's Marc Rheinard inherited the lead with Lemieux in tow. Lemieux had the fastest car or was simply driving the best, as he was all over Rheinard. About midway through Lemieux nailed the rear of Rheinard's car because one of his belts broke. Lemieux was aked by the officials to pull over and let him by. Rheinard was out of the race, and before Lemieux realized this three cars had passed him while he waited. Tamiya's Rick Hohwart was now upfront with Associated's Craig Drescher in second. Drescher eventually passed Hohwart, but had motor trouble with his brushless system and couldn't finish the race. A lap later Hohwart's car stopped for some odd reason. At this time they speculate his speed controller failed. With Drescher and Hohwart dropping out, Lemieux took over the lead on the next to last lap and went on to win."

Good job there by Andy Moore. What happened to Reinhard and Hara this time? But still HB/HPI dominated the on road worlds! By the way, anyone here knows video links to the 2006 on road worlds finals?

reinhard in 4th, hara 11th (1st in b main)

hara had glitching/radio (?) problems. reinhard qualified 3rd overall but had problems in the mains. he was dnf in the 2nd main.

hb & orion/peak had the most entries in the top 10

here's the link ...

Great job by moore to take the title. good thing he took 2nd at the A3 main since that all he needed. he probably played it smart too and dint force the issue to take the win against masami in the main. still curious about what happened to lemiuex in the last main. good to see paulie taking it to the europeans and masami until the very last main. if he had taken at least 2nd in this main, he could have snatched the win since he had 4th place run in case of tie breaks. oh well, breaks of the game.

the 2nd round heat was a good one though. good lemieux still took the win at the end since he really looked fastest that time around. the stop go was issued coz they thought marc broke after the clash and they made paulie stop. now we hear it was because marc broke his belt that lemieux colided with him. anyway, it was good race. The competition was balanced with anyone in the top poised to take the win as seen by the fact that each main was won by a different driver. too bad for masami,

looks like it just isnt for him. i wonder if he'll stay on another 2 years to give it one last shot... doubt it though...

great job moore! a long time coming for this guy! too bad for hara, out classed by his team mate this time around. he's been trying every time since he won in japan in 2000 as a yokomo driver but just cant seem to get it on at the worlds. anyway, hes young so he has years to work on that win he wants. but seems like so many youngsters are getting faster. marc is always there in the top and andy has always been a top gun in international events. and finally an american has proved he can hang onand be a threat. always liked lemieux way back during his losi days pa.

... on to the next race! for us i mean.... hehehe gusto ko na mag laro! hehehe

Flawless and clean Final A1 by Moore. Didn't get to see A2 and A3 but if he played like in A1 its a very convincing win. New world champ again no repeats.
