JoelT - I race the RDX here in Florida. I recently rebuilt my shocks with Team Losi 40 wt oil from 30 wt. The car is much smoother with the thicker oil. Springs are stiffer 22 frt, 19 rr. So going down to 35wt your car would react a little faster.

It's nice to know you guys race the RDX
Welcome aboard RCGEN!! The RDX hit the country just last December (c/o XTREMERCHOBBIES). So we've been pretty much busying ourselves with R&D since then. Thanks for the input. Looking forward to more exchanges in the future.

i was just wondering since you mentioned that you were using 22lbs springs...

i personally found that for racing here on most tracks, (cebu included) that 17lbs springs is generally the most ideal for most cars i'hv tried.

FJB - That indoor track is sweet. Maybe one day I'll be able to travel to the Philippines and check it out.

Do you know of any tracks near Dagupan, Pangasinan, Subic Bay, or Bagiao (sp)? My parents are from Manaldan Pangasinan and they do home every year for vacation.

Tracks are only in Manila, that's nearest to Dagupan by 4hrs., by car, no Biggie.

I tried the 14lbs that came stock on the RDX on all fours with the 20 wt oil. My front end would just bottom out but I had excellent steering going in and coming out of the turns. At one point my rear was way too loose. One the the corally drivers suggested working with the front spring combo but keep the ratio the same. Most of the tracks here in Florida are medium to high bite asphault. The 22lbs up front just happened to fit my driving style. At first I thought it would be to hard/firm for the front end but worked so far. Now when I go to different tracks I just tune with the front/rear spring combo and droop.

isa na lang hinahanap ko sa RDX... to "snap" back a bit faster on power...

RCGEN - Any chance you've got relatives in Manila that you can bunk with??? If not, there are some hotels near the Capitol Speedway and JP Raceway (Pasig area) that are reasonably priced. . . . I believe they go for about 50 USD a night.
