Welcome to RC!

You don't need to be a member to join our club races/big race.
If you want an entry level kit and upgrade it, I would advice to get these...
Tamiya - TB03
Xray - T2R
HB - Cyclone S
Those are good entry level kits, but if you have budget for a high end kit then I would suggest getting these instead...
Tamiya - 416WE
Xray - T2'009
HB - Cyclone TC
Yokomo - BD5
Associated - TC5R

Opinion ko lang kasi if you buy entry level kit and upgrade it, it would cost more or less the same as buying a high end kit na.
If you have any questions just post here or drop by the track...madaming magtuturo sayo dun.
Hope to see you join us soon!

We practice and race at JPRaceway
Track Time is 10am to 10pm
Open Tuesday to Sunday (Monday Close)

MAP TO JPRaceway

See you!!

To add to RCManila, it's actually even more expensive to upgrade an entry level kit at times. But it really all depends on how you want to spend your money - be that spend it upfront or save initially then gradually build up your gear.

I would suggest if you want to get a feel of the hobby first and still not 100% sure if will get into it for the long haul, spend first on an entry level kit that is race worthy (those mentioned by RCManila are some good options). Then if you develop a liking for it, then re-assess if you are willing to take it to the next level and go for a high performance kit and equipment. another option is also going 2nd hand initially. this gives you the opportunity to start of with a better performing kit but of course its used.

double jointed cvds for the 416/BD5 and xray cars .... looks like the rc world is jumping onto this which Losi did a few years back with their LCDs (Losi Constant Drive).
