rnold/oldskul...I have a "phone-in" question from one of our viewers (si papa Edward). Is the FDR for Super Stock a "minimum" ie you can gear higher or is it a "fixed" FDR? Based on some of the TAC stories I heard from the other guys it's the former.

The term used in the R&R is "limited", to my mind that also implies it's a "minimum" setting.

Gracis.

Oh crap...I just realized now. With the TB03 relegated to "out-of-box" parts I gotta find me a set of stock CVA dampers. I sold off the TB03's set.

Neil: I believe you can't change the FDR anymore. Last year is a different story because they did not impose a spec gearing for the stock class. If it says use a 22T pinion then you are limited to that only or you can try using a 21 and risk being DQ'd. Maybe they will allow you to go 1 tooth down, maybe not but definitely not BIGGER. And when they say "OUT OF THE BOX" it literally means out of the box. So using the option springs like blue, red, white is most likely NOT ALLOWED.

PS: I think the 22T pinion is the one included in the box hehe and you CAN'T use the high torque servo saver either!

so apprarently they want to encourage the use of TT-01 in super stock class while strangling the inherent advantages of the TB-03...

does the TB-03 really have that much of an advantage?

kiri...if that's the case then I really am wondering what kind of a layout their gonna use that'll "equalize" the 3 cars.
