Uy! Ako din na-miss ko na F1.

Oldskul: Ano foam compounds gamit niyo sa JP for F103? Kamusta traction?

it would be awesome to see that Tyrell 6-wheeler F1 running at JP Raceway!!!

BDC: wala na akong foam compounds, puro slicks lang tires ko. Joel was running slicks too last time, with traction compound. ok naman traction. but of course, easy on the throttle!

TM...check out RCMart (HK) website...I think they have that Tyrell in stock.

BTW...I pm'd you the setup figures you asked for.

rccartips...I will suffer less knowing that you already purchased it. I'm just waiting for July to pass.

kiri...mukhang marami ka ng kasama.

I did a little snooping around also in HK online shops...the F103RM kit with body ranges from US$110-130. Anyone going on a trip?

Wala ako credit card bro. unable to buy the kit online even if i wanted to...

thanks for the setup info. now im just looking for a cheap TT-01 kit to build it up on...

if its U$110 online, then its cheaper if you buy it in person... my family (except me ) is going to HK. magpapabili ako ng 103RM kit or the Tyrrell P34 kit there (assuming may bumili ng P34 ng lils ni I-know-who...hehehehe)

Welcome to the RC world!

Unfortunately there is no best brand in RC...in my opinion all brands are best but have their own pros and cons.

Here are some of the shops and what brand they carry...

Action Hobbies:
HPI
Hot Bodies

Dog Bone:
Serpent

Pitshop:
Losi
Xray
Associated
Yokomo

Lil's Hobby:
Tamiya

So far the kits I see today running sa mga club races are...
Serpent (S-400); Xray (T2'008); HB (Cyclone TC); Tamiya (416) & Losi (JRXS Type R) those I think are the more popular high end kits now running.

All those kits are flexible and tunable, depends on how much time you're willing to spend on your kit to tune and setup As for the budget/money you'll need to spend depends on you...depends on how deep or how far you'll want to go with the hobby. Kung bashing or club racing lang you don't need to fork out much money...a simple setup would be ok, but if you want to really excel or want all the top of the line stuffs then get your wallet and credit cards ready

If you are on a tight budget I would suggest you to scroll in the FOR SALE thread you'll find lots of 2nd hand kits and stuffs you'll need there...look and ask so you'll know what you'll be spending...don't be afraid to ask questions regarding those items you find that interests you, mas mabuti ng sigurado ka kaysa sa huli ka magsisi. Also there are those entry level kits that you'll find sa mga shops, they are cheaper than those I mentioned earlier. You can buy those and practice your skill on driving then buy the high end kits later when you find that you need more out of your car.

Hope this help you begin your RC life and hopefully we'll see you sa race track

By the way, on road race track is JPRaceway and is located at C5. Sa tapat lang sya ng tiendesitas sa ilalim ng tulay If you plan to go there and have a look see on the racing scene just post and we'll give you directions on how to go there. Most of the time electric on road club race or big race happens on a saturday. Just read this thread and you'll find race announcement or practice sessions ng mga EP Racers.

Any additional info are welcome to help newbies...any mistakes I posted, sorry, and please let me know para mapalitan ko ...Cya!!
